Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a systemic autoimmune disease accompanied by synovial inflammation and destruction of joints. Collagen antibody-induced arthritis (CAIA), an antibody-mediated arthritis model dependent on neutrophil granulocytes. CAIA is an extension of the CIA model and is one of the most common models in the antibody-induced arthritis model1.
Biocytogen has established stable CAIA disease models in different strains of mice (C57BL/6, Balb/c), which can be used for pharmacodynamic evaluation of rheumatoid arthritis related drugs. Besides, several humanized models have been developed to which can be applied for pharmacodynamic evaluation of rheumatoid arthritis related drugs.
C57BL/6或Balb/c小鼠模型构建
Tissue sections were either stained with (H&E) (A), and infiltrating inflammatory cells in the spinal cord (B) were scored.
Clinical score (C), weight change (D), incidence rates (E) of CAIA model based on C57BL/6 mice were recorded.
