      Description
      • c-Rel is a member of the nuclear factor κB (NF-κB) transcription factor family. High levels of c-Rel expression are found primarily in B and T cells, with many c-Rel target genes involved in lymphoid cell growth and survival.
      • In addition to c-Rel playing a major role in mammalian B and T cell function, the human c-Rel gene is a susceptibility locus for certain autoimmune diseases such as arthritis, psoriasis, and celiac disease.
      • Gene editing strategy: The exons 1-10 of mouse Rel gene were knocked in B-Rel KO mice, resulting in a disruption of the Rel gene.
      • Protein expression analysis: REL protein was detected in the spleen, thymus and heart of wild-type mice, but not in homozygous B-Rel KO mice.
      • Application: This product is used for the development of drugs for treating tumors and basic research.
      Targeting strategy

Gene targeting strategy for B-Rel KO mice. The exons 1-10 of mouse Rel gene were knocked out in B-Rel KO mice, resulting in a disruption of the Rel gene.

      Protein expression analysis

Western blot analysis of REL protein expression in homozygous B-Rel KO mice. Various tissue lysates were collected from wild-type C57BL/6 mice (+/+) and homozygous B-Rel KO mice (-/-), and then analyzed by western blot with Anti-c-Rel antibody (Abcam, ab309131) . 50 μg total proteins were loaded for western blotting analysis. REL protein was detected in the spleen, thymus and heart of wild-type mice, but not in homozygous B-Rel KO mice.
