Western blot analysis of LRP6 protein expression in homozygous B-hLRP6 mice. Various tissue lysates were collected from wild-type C57BL/6J mice (+/+) and homozygous B-hLRP6 mice (H/H), and then analyzed by protein simple-western blot with anti-LRP6 antibody. LRP6 protein was detected in the colon, kidney, lung and cortex of wild-type C57BL/6J mice and homozygous B-hLRP6 mice, as the antibody showed cross-recognition both for human and mouse LRP6.

Strain specific analysis of LRP6 mRNA expression in wild-type C57BL/6J mice and B-hLRP6 mice by RT-PCR. Liver RNA were isolated from wild-type C57BL/6J mice (+/+) and homozygous B-hLRP6 mice (H/H), then cDNA libraries were synthesized by reverse transcription, followed by PCR with mouse or human LRP6 primers. Mouse Lrp6 mRNA was detectable only in wild-type C57BL/6J mice. Human LRP6 mRNA was detectable only in homozygous B-hLRP6 mice but not in wild-type mice.
